Where Splid is better today
Three points clearly favour Splid: offline use, automatic conversion across more than 150 currencies, and exportable PDF or Excel summaries. Splid also states that no sign-up is required.
For a trek, a trip abroad, or accounts you have to hand over at the end of the stay, those are decisive advantages that Pivunio cannot match.
Where Pivunio differs
Pivunio is built for the browser: nothing to install, including for guests, who join the group from a link with just a first name. Email stays optional and only serves to find your groups again on another device.
On the maths side, every expense picks its own participants and split mode: equal shares, exact amounts to the cent, percentages or weighted shares.

Is Splid free?

Why move from Splid to Pivunio?
Mainly for browser-based collaboration by link, with nothing to install for the people you invite. If you often travel without a network, that argument does not hold and Splid remains the better fit.
Can you import Splid history into Pivunio?
No. There is no import today: a Pivunio group starts empty. The simplest path is to settle the current accounts before switching tools.
