An expense sharing app with no mandatory account

A mandatory sign-up adds a step before you've even started. Pivunio starts with your first name: you can create a group or join a friend's group with no account and nothing to install.

Why getting in is this simple

When a group of friends wants to share expenses, a mandatory sign-up adds friction right at the start: create an account, pick a password, confirm an email. If one person stops there, their expenses never make it into the tool and the accounts are incomplete.

Removing that barrier means everyone can take part from the first minute. That's what makes the accounts complete, and therefore useful.

What happens when you arrive

  1. 🌐

    You open the site

Nothing to download: Pivunio runs in the browser, on phone as well as computer.

  2. ✍️

    You enter your first name

That's the only thing asked to get started. No email, no password, no phone number.

  3. 🔗

You create or join a group

An invite link is all it takes to bring your friends in. They have no account to create either.

A web app, not an app to install

Pivunio is built for mobile: large buttons, a numeric keypad for amounts, navigation designed for small screens. But it's a website, not a store app: there is nothing to install from a store, and updates happen quietly, with nothing to do on your side.

If you use it often, add the page to your home screen: it will open full screen, just like a regular app.

An invite link, with no directory or address book

To add someone, you share a link, however you like. Pivunio doesn't need access to your contacts and never looks anyone up by phone number.

An invite link is single-use and expires after seven days. If it has expired, you simply generate a new one.

Without an email, and with one if you want

As long as you don't add an email address, your profile stays tied to the browser and device you use. If you clear your browser data, you start again with a blank profile.

Whenever you like, you can attach an email address to your profile. Signing in then works through a link sent by email, with no password, and you find your groups again on another device. It stays optional: nothing forces you to do it to use Pivunio.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really have to create an account?

Not to get started. You enter your first name and can create a group or join a friend's group right away.

Is there an app to download?

No. Pivunio is a web app: it opens in your phone or computer browser. You can add it to your home screen to use it like an installed app.

What happens if I change phone?

Without an email address, your profile stays tied to the browser and device you use. If you want to find your groups elsewhere, you can attach an email address to your profile and sign back in with an email link on another device.
